The method involves generating a plasma and inactivating odor-relevant molecules through influence of hot electrons of the plasma on the molecules to be inactivated. The odor-related molecules are accumulated on a surface. The plasma is generated at a distance from the surface. The bacteria, particularly odor-causing bacteria, is killed by the plasma. An independent claim is included for a device for executing odor-relevant molecules inactivating method.
