The method involves determining an anchor target voltage value (Ua-k) in a current sampling step based on an anchor-point voltage value and/or an anchor command current of a preceding scanning step. The determined target voltage value is provided as default for controlling a separately excited direct-current (DC) machine (7). A pulse width modulation command value (PWM) for an electronic converter (12) is generated for power supply of the DC machine, based on the determined anchor target voltage value.
