<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device capable of detecting a fallen object on a road with high accuracy at any time of day or night and regardless of environmental variations such as the weather. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes at least: first and second image acquisition means 1, 5 for acquiring, as respective acquired images, images photographed by first and second cameras having different detection wavelengths; first and second object presence determination means 2, 6 for determining the presence of an object on a road from the respective acquired images; first and second moving body detection means 3, 7 for discriminating between a stationary object and a moving object by detecting the moving state of the object on the road from the respective acquired images; first and second three-dimensional information calculation means 4, 8 for calculating three-dimensional information of the object on the road from the respective acquired images; feature value integration means 9 for integrating the processing results of the first and second object presence determination means 2, 6, the first and second moving body detection means 3, 7, and the first and second three-dimensional information calculation means 4, 8; and fallen object determination means 10 for determining a fallen object based on the feature value of the processing result of the feature value integration means 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
