<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device, a storage method, and a program which can suppress delay in data update when a snapshot is executed. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 105 designates a part of a storage area of an HDD 20 as a storage area of a logical disk. Also, on receiving a snapshot request, in response to a writing request to write data in the storage area of the logical disk, the CPU 105 newly designates a part of the storage area of the HDD 20 which is not assigned to the logical disk as a storage area of the logical disk to which the writing request is made.
