摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foamable polystyrene-based resin particles enabling to produce a foamed molding excellent in heat resistance and mechanical strength such as flexural strength and compression strength, and to provide a production method therefor.

SOLUTION: The foamable polystyrene-based resin particles obtained by a melt-extrusion method comprising press-kneading a foaming agent into a polystyrene-based resin melted in a resin-supplying device, directly extruding the foaming agent-containing melted resin from a small hole of a die attached to the tip of the resin-supplying device into a cooling liquid, simultaneously cutting the extruded product with a high speed rotation blade, and contacting the extruded product with the liquid to cool-solidify the products to obtain the foamable polystyrene-based resin particles is characterized in that an organosiloxane is uniformly contained in the whole foamable polystyrene-based resin particles (excluding inner foams).
