A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery (100) of the present invention is provided with an electrode body (80) having a structure wherein a positive electrode (10) and a negative electrode (20) are laminated with a separator (30) therebetween. A porous filler layer (32) is formed between the positive electrode (10) and the separator (30). The filler layer (32) includes a filler composed of an inorganic material, and a binder. When the average thickness of the filler layer (32) is represented by (T), and the average particle diameter of a positive electrode active material (15) contained in the positive electrode (10) that faces the filler layer (32) is represented by (D), a relationship of T>D is satisfied, and pressure applied in the lamination direction to the electrode body (80) is set to 0.1 MPa or more.
