<p>The present invention relates to a method and a communication terminal for prompting new information. The method comprises: a receiving end, according to an information type and a level attribute, establishing a Cartesian space; setting at least one corresponding prompt manner for a group value of each group of the Cartesian space; and when new information is received, obtaining a prompt manner under a corresponding group to prompt the new information according to the information type and the level attribute. The method and the communication terminal provided in the present invention introduce information type factors and level attribute factors such as an information level stamp, a contact level stamp, a module level stamp and an information type to determine a new information prompting manner, so that a user may obtain different new information prompting manners or a combination of multiple prompting manners for an information importance degree of the new information, an information type of the new information, an importance degree of a contact relevant to the new information and a module where the new information is currently located. The diversity of new information prompting manners is greatly improved, and the demand of the user for a personalized interaction manner is met.</p> |
