The device (1) has a carrier for supporting a heat recovery fan unit and for fixing the fan unit to a building wall. The carrier is supported at a frame element (2) in a rotatable manner around a rotational axis for adaptation of spatial position of the carrier to inclination of the building wall. The frame element is fixed at a circulating edge area of a recess of the building wall. The carrier has two free end areas lying opposite to each other along the rotational axis. A heat insulation unit made from polystyrene or polyurethane is arranged between walls (21, 24) of the frame element.
