<p>The method involves transferring preforms (1) for blow molding to a blowing unit (10), and heating the preforms before transfer. Portions (1C, 1E) e.g. pre-defined zones, of surface of the preforms are exposed to a plasma, before heating the preforms, where heating takes place via infrared (IR) radiation, microwave or laser radiation. The preforms are provided with a marker (1A) e.g. indent, reflector point, or marker line. The preforms are aligned by the marker, before the preforms are exposed to the plasma. The plasma comprises atmospheric pressure plasma and low pressure or high pressure plasma. An independent claim is also included for a device for pre-treatment of preforms before stretch blow molding.</p> |
