<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device including a cleaning mechanism that moves a rotating cleaning member along a needle electrode to rub the needle electrode for cleaning with excellent cleaning performance in both backward and forward moving directions, while preventing the needle electrode from being bent, and to provide an image forming device including the charging device. <P>SOLUTION: The moving speed, rotation speed and inclination angle of the cleaning member are set so that the direction of a synthetic vector of a rotation speed vector in a part of the cleaning member for rubbing the needle electrode and a moving speed vector of moving in the arrangement direction of the needle electrodes is directed from the bottom to the top of the needle, in both backward and forward moving directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
