<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television apparatus which prevents light from the interior of a housing from entering into a sensor. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a television apparatus includes: a display device having a display screen; and a housing which houses the display device and has a first surface on which the display screen is exposed, a second surface positioned on the opposite side of the first surface, a first end part detaching or attaching to a dock, a second end part positioned on the opposite side of the first end part, a third end part connecting the first end part with the second end part, and a fourth end part positioned on the opposite side of the third end part. Further, the television apparatus includes: a substrate housed in the housing and having a first substrate surface facing the first surface side and a second substrate surface facing the second surface side; a sensor disposed on the first substrate surface of the substrate and having first to fourth side surfaces which respectively face the first to fourth end part sides; and a light shielding member enclosing the first to fourth side surfaces of the sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
