<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for preventing movement of a fluid pipe, capable of preventing damage of the fluid pipe by causing claws of a coming-off prevention member to evenly bite thereinto. <P>SOLUTION: This device includes: a coming-off prevention member 6 including a slope 63 having an outer diameter varying along an axial core direction, a front claw 8A formed at a front side where the outer diameter of the slope 63 is large, and a rear claw 8B formed at a rear side where the outer diameter of the slope 63 is small; and an annular housing 7 for housing the coming-off prevention member 6 in an housing groove 9 opened toward an outer circumferential surface 2a of a water pipe P. A pressing surface 13 pressing the slope 63 toward the radial inner side is provided at a distal end of a pressing bolt 10 attached to the housing groove 9. The pressing surface 13 is inclined relative to the slope 63. A separation part 13a separated from the slope 63 is formed at the front side of the pressing surface 13.
