MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PRINTER, PROFILE CREATING METHOD AND PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a printer for performing printing by using a profile in which an ink amount whose other index value including a gradation index is improved with sufficient balance is allocated to a value in a color space and to provide a creating method of the profile and a printing method.

SOLUTION: The gradation index showing gradation of the ink amount allocated on a lattice point specified by respective elements of input data is calculated by summing up a difference of the respective elements between a hue value of the ink amount allocated to an objective lattice point being a calculation object and that of the ink amount allocated to the lattice point adjacent to the objective lattice point while prescribed weight is given to the difference. The ink amount allocated to the lattice point is updated so that an objective function including the calculated gradation index becomes the smallest. The updated ink amount is acquired as that corresponding to the lattice point. The profile obtained by making the value in the color space to which the input data belongs correspond to the ink amount is created based on the acquired ink amount.
