<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a water content existing inside a display body in an electrophoretic display device to be adjusted with higher accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an electrophoretic display device includes: a first layer forming step of forming a first layer that has a first accommodating section for accommodating a fluid dispersion containing electrophoretic particles and a dispersion medium on at least one of one surface of a first substrate and one surface of a second substrate; a second layer forming step of forming a second layer that has a plurality of second accommodating sections for accommodating liquid having a water content greater than that of the fluid dispersion in the first accommodating section on at least the one of the one surface of the first substrate and the one surface of the second substrate; a sealing step of bonding the first substrate and the second substrate together such that the one surface of the first substrate and the one surface of the second substrate are opposite to each other; and a breaking step of breaking at least one of the plurality of second accommodating sections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
