METHOD FOR PRODUCING CELLULOSE NANOFIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cellulose nanofiber dispersion liquid with low energy.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the cellulose nanofiber includes: (A) a process of oxidizing a cellulose-based material using an oxidant (a3) in the presence of a compound selected from the group consisting of an N-oxyl compound (a1), and a bromide, iodide or mixture thereof (a2); (B) a process of hydrolyzing the oxidized cellulose-based material obtained by the process (A) in an alkaline solution of pH 8 to 14; and (C) a process of preparing a dispersion liquid including the cellulose-based material obtained by the process (B), and fibrillating the hydrolyzed oxidized cellulose-based material while dispersing in a dispersion medium to form into the nanofiber.
