The method involves starting a ranking mode and activating a rear view camera in the forward motion of the vehicle. The image captured by the rear view camera is displayed on a display unit of the vehicle. The change of image bottom texture separated from the parking lot, is detected during the forward motion of the vehicle. The vehicle is stopped at a predefined location in the longitudinal direction, when change of image bottom texture is determined.
