<p>The device (10) has a cord element (24) wound between two cord ends (34, 48) around roll-drive arrangement (12) that is provided with two rolling regions (14, 16). The cord element includes a cord section (32) extending from one of the rolling regions to one of the cord ends and another cord section (46) extending from the other rolling region to the other cord end. Wrapping length of the cord element is changed around the former rolling region by an excitation of a cord drive unit (52) for changing the wrapping length of the cord element around the latter rolling region. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming a compartment in a weaving machine by a shedding device.</p> |
