PURPOSE: A system for providing a skin files linkage service of a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to actively supply an additional service about an area in which a user desires in a mobile terminal, thereby providing a customized additional service suitable for user preference. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal connects to a service providing server and requests a skin file(S110). The service providing server searches the skin file which a user desires and transmits the requested skin file to the user terminal(S120,S130). The user terminal stores the requested skin file and the user terminal establishes the skin file transmitted from the service providing server as a background(S150). The user terminal drives a service execution application(S210).
