The method involves covering the sealing seat of the flanges (2a,2b) through thermal energy input from the non-product carrying side. The thermal energy input process is performed by supplying the hot medium. The temperature of the hot medium is about 120[deg] . The thermal energy is supplied by the usage of heating elements. The product-carrying regions of the product-carrying pipes (1a,1b) are disinfected by disinfectant and/or electrochemical activated water. An independent claim is included for flange.
