摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in fault diagnosis of an electromagnetic load even if a driving cycle of the electromagnetic load is short in an internal combustion engine control apparatus that drives the electromagnetic load, and to perform high-accuracy fault diagnosis even for a counter electromotive energy regenerating circuit by stably performing high-speed control without being influenced by noise. <P>SOLUTION: A current source or a voltage source for regulating a potential at a diagnostic portion is provided for securing high fault diagnosis accuracy even if a driving cycle of an electromagnetic load such as a fuel jetting device in an internal combustion engine. In addition, a diagnosis timing is set optimally or the number of times of determinations for averaging is increased for securing diagnostic accuracy that is not influenced by any unexpected disturbance such as noise.
