Exhaust system with thermoelectric generator

The system has an exhaust gas-guiding component (3) e.g. pipe and exhaust gas treatment device, comprising a ring-shaped closed inner wall (4), where an inner side of the inner wall is exposed to exhaust gas. A thermoelectric generator (8) for converting heat into electrical energy is arranged at an outer side of the inner wall. The generator has thermoelectric elements that are electrically connected with one another and arranged at a distance from each other in a circumferential direction, where an outer wall (14) of the component is formed by an inner wall of a cooling jacket (15). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an exhaust gas system.
