PURPOSE: A three-dimensional object detecting apparatus and a method thereof using a plurality of cameras are provided to simply detect a three-dimensional object through a single image obtained through a plurality of the cameras. CONSTITUTION: A comparison area selecting unit(120) controls an offset of a camera to overlap a plurality of images through a planar unit. The comparison area selecting unit selects comparison areas. A comparison processing unit(130) determines whether pixels corresponding to the comparison area are identical through the comparison area selecting unit. The comparison processing unit generates a single image based on the determining result. An object detecting unit(140) analyzes a form of the single image through the comparison processing unit.
