<p>A method, a system, and a repeater for reducing a switch delay of active and standby optical line terminals (OLTs) are provided. The method includes the following steps. The active OLT sends a pre-obtained first round trip delay (Rtd) to each optical network unit (ONU) and a second Rtd to an active embedded optical network terminal (ONT) to the standby OLT. The active OLT and the standby OLT are switched. The standby OLT obtains a control delay of each ONU according to a preset equalized loop delay, a third Rtd, the first Rtd, and the second Rtd, and distributes the control delay of each ONU to the corresponding ONU. The system includes a plurality of ONUs, a repeater, a main OLT, and a spare OLT. The repeater includes a main embedded ONT and a spare embedded ONT. Thus, the switch delay of the main and spare OLTs is reduced to a certain extent.</p> |
