PURPOSE: An optical finger navigation device is provided to just move a finger to a finger interface surface of a portable device, thereby providing a navigation input function. CONSTITUTION: A lead frame(204) has an upper side and a lower side. An optical sensor(202) has a first side and a second side. A mold compound(206) encapsulates the optical sensor and the lead frame to form a package. The mold compound includes a front side, a back side and a side. A light guiding system(208) is arranged in the front side of the mold compound which is adjacent to the first side of the optical sensor. A first optical non penetration material is arranged in at least a part of the front side of the mold compound. A second optical non penetration material is arranged on the second side of the optical sensor.
