PURPOSE: A portable terminal and control method thereof are provided to simply convert a photograph mode by recognizing the conversion signal and the exposure degree of a camera. CONSTITUTION: A sensing unit senses the exposure degree of a first and a second camera(S105). When the first and the second camera are totally exposed, a control unit selects a photograph mode as a three-dimensional photograph mode(S110,S115). When one of the first and the second camera is hid by a finger, the control unit selects the image photograph mode as a two-dimensional photograph mode(S120,S125).
