PURPOSE: An instrument panel display system for an airplane and a method thereof are provided to improve the security of an airplane by automatically recognizing and authenticating pilots. CONSTITUTION: An instrument panel display system comprises a photographing device(110) and a control device(120). The photographing device recognizes the face image of pilots and extracts the characteristics of the face image to generate a template. The control device checks the identification of the pilots according to the template and displays the arrangement of an instrument panel that the pilots prefer.
