PURPOSE: A digital DC arc welding machine with a hot-starter function and an electric shock protection function is provided to prevent an electric shock by automatically and immediately switching on output power when a welding rod is touched to a base material, and to enable a user to remotely control output without needing to move an inverter welding machine body and by pressing a remote current control switch at an end of a welding holder. CONSTITUTION: A digital DC arc welding machine(10) comprises a power supply unit(20), an inverter power generating unit(30), a PWM control unit(40), an electric shock protection unit(50), and a remote control circuit(60). The PWM control unit generates a pulse wave by comparing an error of voltage generated from the inverter power generating unit with saw-tooth wave and controlling the inverter power generating unit to output a uniform current corresponding to a predetermined reference voltage. The electric shock protection unit immediately switches off output power when the voltage supplied from the inverter power generating unit is not converted into power used for welding and automatically and immediately switches on output power when a welding rod touches a base material. The remote control circuit is electrically connected to the electric shock protection unit and can be controlled in output through a switch on a welding holder.
