PURPOSE: A water purifier equipped with a self-sterilizing system and a sterilization method of the water purifier using the system are provided to minimize the scrapping amount of water by rapidly removing ozone odor with little amount of water. CONSTITUTION: A water purifier includes a first water storing bath(100), a second water storing bath(200), a circulating pump(10), an ozone water generating unit(20), a water draining path(1400), a filtering unit(300), and a controlling part. The second water storing bath stores water from the first water storing bath at 80 or more deg C. The circulating pump and the ozone water generating unit are turned on to supply purified water from the first storing unit to the ozone water generating unit for a pre-determined period of time. Ozone water is generated to sterilize the first water storing bath and the internal flow path of the water purifier. The ozone water generating unit is turned off, and solenoid valves(30, 40) are opened. Warm water from the second water storing bath is supplied to the internal flow path and the first water storing bath to remove ozone odor. A cool water supplying path is branched before a point at which the circulating pump is connected. The cool water supplying path is connected to a cooling cock and a cool water supplying path.
