PURPOSE: An inverter for power is provided to improve reliability of life diagnosis by diagnosing remaining life time by measuring voltage between a base and an emitter of six switching elements in the state which is similar to a driving state. CONSTITUTION: An inverter(200) for power is comprised of a waveform measuring part(21), a remaining life graph storing part(22), a degradation point graph storing part(23), and a remaining life determining part(24). The waveform measuring part measures a waveform of voltage between a base and an emitter of each switching element of the inverter. The remaining life graph storing part stores a remaining life graph. The remaining life graph shows remaining life time and an electrolytic condenser of a base driver circuit. The remaining life determining part measures transistor exchange time of the each switching element from voltage wavelength measured in the waveform measuring part. The remaining life determining part calculates the remaining life time of electrolytic condenser of the base driver circuit from the remaining life graph.
