<p>A folding laptop support may be rack-mountable to a rack using a mounting bar that may require only 1U or OU of vertical rack space (shown folded in fig 8). The support ( or tray) comprises two cross members 7, 8 preferably connected by a pivot 6 so that the support may be extended or folded away. The support may be fixed to a rack mount or may be used as a free-standing (See figure 5) desktop support. The rack mounting means comprises a length adjustable bar, preferably via sliding elements 1, 2 (also figs 2, 3), that is connected to an arm at a pivot 3 and has adjustable length from sliding parts 4, 5. The supports may have two demountable supporting bars (103, 104 figure 7), or supports 9, 10. The bar may have multiple sets of holes at each end to allow fixing to rack. The bar may instead or in addition have hook elements (24, see figure 3) that can hook onto the mounting holes of the rack. The support bars may have notches to allow for pivot pins etc. when the support to folded down (see 1041, 1031, 1033 figure 7).</p> |
