<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile capable of effectively reducing squeal sound at opening/closing of a door glass. <P>SOLUTION: In the weather strip 101 for the automobile having a body part 10 attached to the automobile; and slide contact parts 20, 20 integrally formed with the body part 10 and slide-contacted with the opened/closed door glass G, at least one part of the slide contact parts 20, 20 is formed by a material having damping property. Further, at least one part of the slide contact parts 20, 20 is formed by a material having larger loss modulus of elasticity than the body part 10. Further, at least one part of the slide contact parts 20, 20 is formed by a material having loss modulus of elasticity (average value of 1 kHz-4 kHz) of 30 MPa or more at an atmosphere temperature of 20°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
