<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid such a failure that a light source is insufficiently cooled even when the light source other than a prescribed light source is loaded, and to safely operate the light source. <P>SOLUTION: The projection display apparatus includes: a light source cooling fan 23 for cooling the loaded light source; a judging part 40 judging whether the loaded light source and/or reflector are the prescribed light source and/or reflector; and a fan control part 42 for controlling the fan 23 based on the judgement result by the judgement part 40. When judging that the loaded light source and/or reflector are not the prescribed light source and/or reflector, the control part 42 controls the fan 23 to more strongly cool the light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
