<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas concentration detector capable of reducing the irregularity in judging activities caused by an engine operation state. <P>SOLUTION: In the case where the elapse time from the previous energization OFF state is longer than a reference value at the ON time of ignition, the passage of electric current to an NOx sensor is turned ON (step 106), while the inflection point of the output of an NOx sensor cell is specified (step 108) and the learning value related to the inflection point is taken in ECU (step 110).
