A medical device for holding a cardiac valve implant is disclosed comprising an elongate support defining a peripheral edge with a curvature about which the cardiac valve implant can be fitted, wherein the elongate support comprises a resilient portion for resiliently holding the cardiac valve implant in place in said device.
