The method involves applying adhesive to main portion (2) or to an underside (20) of circuit board (12). The underside of circuit board is placed onto the main portion and the circuit board is loaded with a force in the direction of main portion. The force is produced by an ambient air pressure difference acting on the circuit board, between a top side (14) of circuit board and the underside of the circuit board. An independent claim is included for electric-motor-driven pumps.
