A method of controlling a load shedding for data stream management system and an apparatus therefor

PURPOSE: A method for controlling load shedding in a data stream management system and a device thereof are provided to supply an accurate result by writing user intention in a query. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(430) stores an inputted data stream. A control unit(440) determines a mode for selecting processing target data or data except for the processing target data in the data stream. The control unit determines a data shedding coefficient which is a ratio of the data except for the processing target data based on the usage or the residual quantity of resources used in a device performing a DSMS(Data Stream Management System). The control unit performs load shedding by applying a data selecting mode according to the data shedding coefficient and selecting a part of the data stream.
