<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authority setting support system and an authority setting support processing method which facilitate setting of the authority to referring to text data or the authority to correct and input text data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An authority setting support system 10 includes: a word extraction processing mans 22 which extracts words from each piece of text data; a group generation processing means 23 which generates a group comprising a set of text data including identical words or identical word groups; a sharing judgment result input acceptance processing means 24 which accepts input of manager's judgment result showing whether the reference authority or the correction input authority is shared between divisions having generated respective pieces of text data constituting the group; and an authority sharing processing means 25 which stores authority holding division identification information identical to generation division identification information into a text database 40 while making the authority holding division identification information correspond to each of all pieces of text data constituting the group for which the authority is shared.
