PURPOSE: A method for providing a web page adapted to a device and a device using the method are provided to supply the web page suitable for a display standard by using attribute information set in each area which consists of a web page. CONSTITUTION: An area arranging unit(354) recognizes a changing mode by checking attribute information set in partial areas of a web page. The area placing unit determines and places display areas displayed on a screen based on the changing mode. A page generating unit(356) generates a web page having a minimum size according to the attribute information and including the display areas having a determined size suitable for a display standard. The partial areas are divided into classes. The display areas are determined according to each class.
