PURPOSE: An ontology based job knowledge supporting device for automatically providing job knowledge necessary for a work process and a method thereof are provided to consider a progressing state of the corresponding medical work and search knowledge about detail work of a medical work process, thereby providing only necessary knowledge. CONSTITUTION: A job knowledge comprising unit(31) comprises job knowledge necessary for each work as an entity of ontology. A job name is assigned to a job entity as an attribute. A work process generating unit(32) generates a work process composed of a plurality of detail work. A detail work managing unit(33) generates or changes the detail work of the job process. A job knowledge searching unit(35) provides the job entity corresponding to the detail work of the job process by a job name of the detail work.
