<p>PURPOSE: An electrode wire for electric discharge machining and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to maximize working speed and surface roughness of workpieces by arranging grains at right angle to a longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION: An electrode wire for electric discharge machining comprises a core wire(12), a first alloy layer(22), and a second alloy layer(23). The core wire is composed of first metal. The first alloy layer is formed between the core wire and the boundary of second metal. The second alloy layer is formed on the outer surface of the first alloy layer. A plurality of grain is formed by the core wire.</p> |
