PURPOSE: A fatty acid-modified epoxy resin is provided to reduce viscosity, to be environment-friendly without using volatile organic compound, to solve crystal phenomenon generated during storage period, and to prevent brittleness. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a fatty acid-modified epoxy resin comprises: a step(S1) of preparing a low-molecular epoxy resin by using a short path distillator; and a step(S2) of reacting low molecular epoxy resin manufactured during the S1 step with fatty acid under the presence of a catalyst. The low-molecular epoxy resin manufactured during S1 step is a single material consisting of material of a low molecular weight of which polymerization degree(n). In the S2 step, low molecular epoxy resin and aliphatic acid are reacted with the weight ratio of 80:20-99:1. 0.0001-0.1 parts by weight of the catalyst is added to 100.0 parts by weight of the aliphatic acid.
