PURPOSE: An item transaction mediating system and a method thereof are provided to match values about items as an online exchanging means, thereby mediating a transaction between the items which have different values. CONSTITUTION: A transaction terminal(100) requests a transaction between items. A mediating server(110) mediates a direct transaction between the items which have different values according to the request of the transaction terminal. The mediating server matches the values about the items with points according to preference. When an item transaction is requested, the mediating server compares the points between the items and performs the direct transaction between the items.
