PURPOSE: An ovotransferrin hydrolysate and a composition containing the same for anticancer are provided to remove peroxyl radical and to inhibit leukocyte DNA damage. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing an ovotransferrin hyrolysate comprises: a step of mixing egg white ovotransferrin with enzyme in a weight ratio of 25:1 and adjusting by pH 2.5-7.0; a step of reaction of the mixture at 45 Deg. C. for 3 hours and heating at 100 Deg. C. for 10 minutes; and a step of centrifuging the mixture at 3,000 rpm for 20 minutes and freeze-drying the supernatant. The enzyme is pepsin, protamax, alcalase, trypsin, neutrase, flavorzyme, collupulin, protex, A-chymotrypsin, promod, or collupulin. An anticancer composition contains the ovotransferrin hydrolysate as an active ingredient.
