A method and system for processing measurement events in multi-carrier system are provided. The method for processing measurement events in multi-carrier system includes: a mobile terminal receives a measurement assignment configured and transmitted by a network side device (S302); said mobile terminal determines the serving cell and adjacent cell corresponding to the received measurement assignment (S304); said mobile terminal measures the obtained serving cell and adjacent cell (S306); when the measurement result meets the report condition of the measurement event corresponding to the received measurement assignment, said mobile terminal reports said measurement result (S308). By setting measurement events and assignments for different serving cells, the present invention solves the problem that the measurement event cannot distinguish the primary serving cell and the secondary serving cell in the prior art, so that the mobile terminal can perform measurement and report under multi-serving cell configuration. |
