An embodiment of the present invention discloses an electromagnetic switching device including a housing including a mounting side and a connector side opposite the mounting side. In the interior of the housing, movable main contact bridges are disposed via which one main current path each main current path includes one of the first fixed main contacts, one of the second fixed main contacts, and one of the main contact bridges. The main connection areas are located opposite one another. One first and one second central area are disposed between the main connection areas. The central areas each extend from the first to the second main connection area. The central areas are elevated relative to the main connection areas and disposed next to one another viewed from the first to the second main connection area. The first central area is more elevated relative to the main connection areas than the second central area.
