PURPOSE: A device for confirming an ID of a servo and a method thereof are provided to confirm the ID of the servo with only a scan by transmitting ID information to a computer when the computer transmits an ID confirmation request signal to the servo. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting unit(12) transmits an ID confirmation request signal to a server. A receiving unit(22) receives ID information from the servo corresponding to the ID confirmation request signal. A display unit(16) displays the ID information. The transmitting unit transmits the ID confirmation request signal as a packet type. The servo receives the ID confirmation request signal from a host. A sending unit(28) sends the ID information corresponding to the ID confirmation request signal to the host.
