PURPOSE: An online intelligent special protection method and system using a real time measurement signal in a power system are provided to calculate a transient stability evaluation index using PMU(phasor measurement unit) data. CONSTITUTION: A state checking part(110) generates system state information. A stability evaluation part(120) evaluates online transient stability. A comparison part(130) compares the calculated result of the stability evaluation part and a result in offline. An operator setting part(140) sets blocking amount information corresponded to a generator blocking index of a look up table(151). A system situation matching unit(152) sets a blocking amount with reference to the look up table.
