PURPOSE: A multi-stage forging machine with excellent setting performance is provided to facilitate controlling the position of plate-type cams coupled to a cam shaft by fixing the cam shaft with a stopper. CONSTITUTION: A multi-stage forging machine with excellent setting performance comprises a setting block(60), a rotating unit(11), a moving frame(12), fingers(41), and a cam shaft(42). The setting block has a setting hole(61) corresponding to a die hole and is located at one side of a die unit. The rotating unit selectively rotates a transfer unit(40) in the right position of the die unit or setting block. The moving frame is coupled to the transfer unit and moved by the rotating unit. The fingers clamp a work piece placed in the die hole. The cam shaft is provided with plate-type cams(43) along the length to operate the fingers. At the state the transfer unit is located on the setting block, the positions of the fingers and the plate-type cams are controlled.
