PURPOSE: An electrode catalyst for oxygen-reduction comprising bimetallic AuPd nanoparticles is provided to have excellent oxidation-reduction activity and stability and/or alcohol resistance in an acidic condition. CONSTITUTION: An electrode catalyst for oxygen-reduction comprises bimetallic AuPd nanoparticles dipped in a carbon-based support. The bimetallic AuPd nanoparticle comprises Au core and Pd shell surrounding the Au core. A manufacturing method of the electrode catalyst for oxygen-reduction comprises: a step of forming Au nanoparticles dipped in a carbon-based support; and a step of forming bimetallic AuPd nanoparticles by evaporating Pd through a spontaneous reduction of palladium cation on the surface of the AU nanoparticles. |
