PURPOSE: A method for selectively preparing porphyrin dimers using a dendrimer substituent is provided to enhance biocompatibility and tissue selectivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for selectively preparing porphyrin dimers using a dendrimer substituent comprises: a step of preparing dendrimer substitution porphyrin monomer; a step of adding zinc salt to the dendrimer substitution porphyrin monomers to prepare dendrimer substitution zinc porphyrin monomers; and a step of synthesizing dendrimer substitution zinc porphysin dimers from the dendrimer substitution zinc porphyrin monomers. The dendrimer substitution zinc porphyrin dimer is denoted by chemical formula 1.
